First Service is a new way of providing services for older people in the Wimbledon area. This service includes the current befriending scheme.
We are here to help older people to remain in their homes and live a good quality of life, with access to essential social contacts and services.
Our aims and objectives are:
• To provide physical and moral support to older people in the Wimbledon area.
• To engage and equip volunteers to offer a good and reliable service.
• To provide practical support that is outside that of statutory provision.
• To enable people to experience a better quality of life.
• To work with all agencies that will enable our clients to live longer in our community with an enhanced quality of life.
• To ensure, both volunteers and clients experience equal opportunities.
