Rosemary Lodge Management and Aims

Rosemary Lodge is owned by the Wimbledon Guild of Social Welfare.
The aim of the Home is to provide high quality individual care and nursing expertise delivered with respect and dignity within a relaxed homely environment. Residents, where able, are encouraged to pursue individual activities and interests as well as developing a sense of community and companionship with other residents. Flexibility and individual choice, with the rights of religious, cultural, emotional and other needs being accepted and respected, are key principles of the management philosophy.

In 1946 Rosemary Lodge was donated to the Guild by the Sanderson Family (well known for wallpapers and fabrics) to be used as a home for the elderly. This was extended to include a nursing wing, which was opened by the Lady Mayoress of London in 1989.
