Current Volunteer Opportunities

   

Drake House Club
Thursday afternoons in Drake House, Central Wimbledon
The Drake House Club is looking for new volunteers to help run their club for older people.
Two volunteer refreshment providers are required to serve tea and cakes to the club members.

Wimbledon Guild Charity Shop
Volunteers are needed to help at our shop in Mitcham. The shop offers a very friendly atmosphere. Volunteers are needed for
a. organising the shop
b. sorting donations
c. Serving customers
No previous experience in retail necessary as training is provided.

Events/Fundraising/Marketing
Join the group of volunteers who help promote our organisation through fundraising and profile events such as the Wimbledon Village Fair.

Projects support
The Wimbledon Guild is looking for volunteers to promote existing and new projects mainly within their Social Welfare department. This opportunity would require volunteers to hand out flyers at libraries, community centres etc.

 

Rosemary Lodge
Wimbledon Guild Care Home with Nursing is also always looking for volunteers to assist in the following areas:
a. help with the activities for the clients
b. companionship for clients
c. help at meal times

Faith in Action
The Wimbledon Guild supports the work of Faith in Action (FIA) a homelessness project in the Merton area. Their offices are based in the Wimbledon Guild, however several volunteers are needed to work with the homeless at the FIA drop-in-centre, Kingston Road, either on Wednesdays or Fridays.

Administration support
The Wimbledon always gladly accepts volunteer support with general administration tasks especially if you have skills in:
a. filling
b. excel spreadsheets
c. databases
d. publisher
