HomeFood Café Volunteer, Noreen Sheridan, receives award

Noreen received a Points of Light award from the Prime Minister

We’re over the moon that Noreen, who volunteers in our HomeFood Café, has received a Points of Light award from the Prime Minister.

The Points of Light awards recognise outstanding acts of volunteering and community service. Noreen has given up over 5,000 hours of her time at the Café, and has volunteered there since it first opened.

Our Chief Executive, Wendy, speaks for all of us when she says: “Everyone is welcome at our HomeFood Café. We meet many socially isolated and lonely people who are looking for a friendly place to have a home-cooked meal. Noreen plays a key part; she has a wonderful sense of humour and our customers love seeing her every week. Her positivity is endless, and we cannot wait to welcome her back once our Café can reopen.”

You can read Noreen's Winner Story on the Points of Light Award website.

Congratulations Noreen, from all of us at Wimbledon Guild!
