Activities, talks and trips

Activities to help improve physical health and great opportunities for you to continue learning and make new friends.

Following the latest government advice around the Coronavirus, we have had to make some temporary changes to how we operate. Please see our Coronavirus response page for full details.

At Wimbledon Guild we run over 120 activities a month, to help keep you active, healthy and sociable. Our talks, trips and groups run from our base in Wimbledon and, in partnership with other organisations, at other locations in Merton. With activities ranging from tap dancing and table tennis through to scrabble, bridge and interesting talks, we have something for everyone. Our volunteers will welcome you from the start, making sure that you are included and that you enjoy the session.

To see a full list of our activities click here, or alternatively, download our “What’s on” Guide. For some of the activities we ask you to book by email or phoning our reception.

And why not combine an activity with a visit to our friendly HomeFood Café. A warm welcome awaits!

All of our classes, clubs, trips and talks are for people aged 50+.

"Since attending exercise classes at Wimbledon Guild, my fitness has improved, made my daily life better and I am able to walk my daughter's dogs with ease. It has also been fun to meet and enjoy the classes with new friends."

It is recommended that you consult your GP before taking up a new exercise regime. When you attend a new class you should advise the instructor or leader of the group that this is your first visit.

For activities that take place at Guild House or Drake House, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your first class and go to our main reception: Guild House, 30/32 Worple Road, Wimbledon SW19 4EF.

If you would like more information or to talk through any of the classes, please do not hesitate to contact us:

We look forward to welcoming you to Wimbledon Guild!

We need your help...

Socially isolated people across Merton are depending on us for immediate and practical support with food deliveries, telephone befriending and much more. In what is a difficult time for everyone, help us support vulnerable people who are likely to feel the impact most.
