There are lots of wonderful organisations that provide group activities across Merton to help keep you active.

Activities in Mitcham

  • North East Mitcham Community Association run Yoga, Salsa and Senior Fitness classes!
  • Commonside Trust run Zumba, Body Blitz and new age Kurling at the New Horizon Centre
  • South Mitcham Community Centre provide Yoga, Zumba and Pilates at low cost
  • Our Parks provide free beginner Bootcamps at Cricket Green on Saturday mornings
  • AgeUK Merton offer a range of different activities from Tai Chi, Aqua Aerobic and Walking Groups
  • Wimbledon Guild provide Walking Tennis sessions at Canons Leisure Centre in Mitcham

Activities in Wimbledon

  • Wimbledon Guild offer a packed programme of activities from Yoga to Tap Dancing at Drake Hall
  • AFC Wimbledon provide Walking Football session at Plough Lane as well as in Pollard Hill (Mitcham)!
  • Wimbledon Cricket Club recently started running Walking Cricket. You’ll even have the opportunity to play against other Walking Cricket Clubs!

Other organisations in Merton

  • BETTER leisure centres have affordable membership options for their gyms and swimming pools in Mitcham, Wimbledon and Morden. Those aged 65+ can swim FREE of charge on selective days!
  • Merton U3A - if you’re retired and want to make new friends and keep active, they offer activities include cycling, walking and racquet ball  
  • Walk and Talk Merton - walks taking place across the borough
  • F.I.S.H. run seated and standing exercise classes
  • Nuffield Gym offer Body Conditioning and Pilates classes across Merton Libraries - these are free to join!
