Morden Hall Park is a fantastic resource for the people of Merton, and it gets 1.2 million visits each year.

But the history of the hall and park stretches back centuries and involves the Catholic Church and Henry VIII amongst others.

The Hall has had many uses including a school, hospital and convalescent home, and even sometimes a family home.

The park too has stories to tell about the movie industry and its stars.  The talk will run through the estate's history from the Domesday book to today.
