When you become a Wimbledon Guild volunteer you join a great team with full support from staff members. You will go through a full induction and training as well as a DBS check. We also reimburse travel costs for volunteers, making it easy to visit someone within Merton or come to help at one of our activities at our headquarters on Worple Road, Wimbledon.
Exercise Class Helpers
Our volunteer team provide an invaluable level of support by assisting, responding to needs of and encouraging exercisers. The Wimbledon Guild Exercise Buddies volunteer team won the bronze award for Merton Volunteer Team of the Year at the 7th annual Merton Partnership Volunteer Awards in 2019. They need volunteers to join them for an hour or so on either a Monday or Wednesday daytime.
Wimbledon Guild Charity Shop
Volunteers are needed to help in the Wimbledon Guild charity shop. As well as helping customers and organising the store, volunteers can also operate the till. You will be working closely alongside our staff and other volunteers. The shop in Mitcham boasts a clean, tidy and friendly atmosphere people enjoy visiting. The stock offered varies, but is always good quality at affordable prices. We need help at the shop from Monday through to Saturday mornings.
"Waggy Walk" Event Helpers
