Volunteering with Wimbledon Guild is a rich and rewarding experience. Whether you are retired, work full-time, are in full or part time education, or have some free time on your hands, we have volunteer roles that are flexible and fit with your schedule.

Wimbledon Guild’s Volunteer Programme can help you develop your skills or learn new ones. 

We have over 200 talented volunteers in our team, from every walk of life and ranging in age from 16 to over 80 years old. We offer volunteering opportunities no matter your skills, background or interests.

Training and costs

When you become a Wimbledon Guild volunteer you join a great team with full support from staff members. You will go through a full induction and training as well as a DBS check. We also reimburse travel costs for volunteers, making it easy to visit someone within Merton or come to help at one of our activities at our headquarters on Worple Road, Wimbledon.

Volunteer activity leader

We are looking for someone to lead our popular and friendly 'Remember When' Thursday morning sessions. 

Duties include:

room/venue for activity. Welcoming and chatting with our customers. Encouraging customer participation. Working closely with the Community Engagement Team to carry the activity forward.

Volunteer activity team assistant

To help and assist at the 'Remember When' Thursday morning sessions. 

Duties include:

Setting up room in preparation for session, welcoming and chatting to  customers, helping them with their mobility needs, encouraging participation in the session. Interested?
