Two Teaspoons - part of our Community with a Heart

"Although we are a tiny business, we’re trying to do something positive for our local community"

Two Teaspoons was set up by Becky Beasley in 2012 and has been nurturing the culinary talents of the younger members of society, and providing catering services to individuals and businesses, ever since.

Becky has supported Wimbledon Guild for many years and showed her heart during the pandemic by running a scheme where for every Two Teaspoons meal sold, they donated another for us to distribute to families on low incomes and to the local women's refuge.

She also ran a brilliant Christmas cook-a-long fundraiser, with all proceeds being donated to our Covid-19 Relief Fund.

Becky from Two Teaspoons said: “As a business we understand the importance of good food being fundamental to good health. The last year has really brought to mind the fact that some families are finding it difficult to even put food on the table. Knowing that our meals, cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients, were going to feed people who would otherwise go without was a really powerful way of giving something back. My whole team were so excited packing up the meals to be donated.

I really believe in the value of community and helping people. Although we are a tiny business, we’re trying to do something positive for our local community and do our bit. And if we do a little something, it makes other people think to do a little something too.”

Thank you to Becky and Two Teaspoons for all your support, and to everyone who’s shown Merton really is a community with a heart during the pandemic.

With your continuing support we can help those in our community experiencing loneliness, mental health problems, food poverty and financial instability as a result of the pandemic.

Please donate what you can to our Community with a Heart Appeal
