Small grants

Following the latest government advice around the Coronavirus, we have had to make some temporary changes to how we operate. Please see our Coronavirus response page for full details.

Our Small Grants Programme is now open for referrals from professionals/key workers.

Due to the current situation surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, we are currently unable to offer cash grants - instead we will be distributing supermarket vouchers to those who qualify, and assessments will take place over the phone.

Our small grants are used to pay for things such as household appliances, school educational trips, furniture, clothing and school uniforms. The team aims to make a decision on applications within two weeks provided all relevant paperwork is supplied by the applicant.

Please be aware that we are currently working through a large number of applications, so decisions may take longer than usual.

If you are a health professional, social worker, or voluntary organisation, you can refer local people who need the support of our grants programme by making referrals to us.

Merton's Community Fridge

As part of our ongoing support for clients who have received a supermarket voucher, we are working in partnership with Merton's Community Fridge to offer food parcels to people in SW19 postcodes (to avoid cross over with partners across the borough and to make sure food is distributed fairly). We will be working with partners at Merton's Community Fridge to ensure people across the borough can access the food they need and will look to expand our services as required.

To find out more please email or call 02089460735.

Socially isolated people across Merton are depending on us for immediate and practical support with food deliveries, telephone befriending and much more. In what is a difficult time for everyone, help us support vulnerable people who are likely to feel the impact most.
