Small grants

Following the latest government advice around the Coronavirus, we have had to make some temporary changes to how we operate. Please see our Coronavirus response page for full details.

Our small grants team are currently distributing supermarket vouchers to those in need in Merton.

Due to the current situation surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, we have changed the way our Small Grants Programme operates. For the time being we will be distributing supermarket vouchers only, and assessments will take place over the phone.

In order to be eligible, you will need to be:

  • A resident of Merton
  • Able to provide details of your current financial situation and need

And as part of our ongoing support for clients who have received a supermarket voucher, from the 14 May we will be working in partnership with Merton's Community Fridge to offering food parcels to people in the SW19 post codes (to avoid crossing over with partners across the borough to make sure there is a fair spread of the food). We will be working with partners at Merton's Community Fridge to ensure people across the borough can access the food they need and will look to expand our services as required.

If find out more, please email welfare@wimbledonguild.co.uk or call 02089460735.

If you are a health professional, social worker, or voluntary organisation, you can help us find local people who need the support of our grants programme by making referrals to us.

We need your help...

Socially isolated people across Merton are depending on us for immediate and practical support with food deliveries, telephone befriending and much more. In what is a difficult time for everyone, help us support vulnerable people who are likely to feel the impact most.
