Book in advance and your dog goes free!
Wimbledon Guild, the local charity that supports people across Merton, has launched a brand-new fundraising event called the Wimbledon Guild Waggy Walk.
Open to people with and without dogs, the walk will take place on the morning of Saturday 6 October on Wimbledon Common and if you book in advance, your dog goes free! Tickets are just £10 per adult, £5 per child (4-16yrs) and £25 for a family ticket, booking fees apply. Monies raised will help fund the vital work that Wimbledon Guild does to support local people in Merton who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness.
All waggy walkers will have the choice of taking part in a 4km or 7km walk, it will start and finish at the award winning, dog-friendly Hand in Hand pub on Wimbledon Common - where they will be supplying pre-event snacks and drinks.
Everyone who completes the event will receive a goody bag from Pet Pavilion - who will also offer dog grooming and spa services on the day - and an H. R. Owen Maserati sponsored commemorative rosette for each dog. The luxury car brand will also have one of their exquisite cars on display.
In addition, Wimbledon Brewery and Cawston Press will be on hand to quench the thirst of weary dog owners and homemade post-walk goodies will be provided by Two Teaspoons Cookery.
On Saturday 6 October, check in for the walk is at the Hand in Hand pub, Crooked Billet, Wimbledon Common between 9am - 10:15am. Wimbledon Guild Waggy Walk starts at 10:30am.
