Role: Counsellor (Refugee and Asylum Seekers' Service)

Based at: Guild House, 30–32 Worple Road, Wimbledon SW19 4EF

Hours: This is a part-time role. You'll be working 3 days a week (22.5 hours). Working hours will include Tuesdays and at least one evening a week.

About the role: Wimbledon Guild is a community charity in Merton offering practical help and support, so you'll never have to face life' challenges alone. Whether you're worried about money, feeling low or overwhelmed, or looking for new friends and activities locally, we're here. Wimbledon Guild is more than just a place; we're a real community where everyone belongs.

An opportunity has come up to join our Talking Therapies team as a Counsellor for our Refugee and Asylum Seekers' service.

You'll support individuals over 18 who live, work, or study in the London Borough of Merton and identify as refugees or asylum seekers. The main refugee and asylum seeker communities in Merton come from an Afghani and Ukrainian background, but this service is open to all refugees in the borough.

You'll be responsible for managing a caseload of clients, as well as completing administrative tasks. Most client sessions will be delivered face to face, with the option to deliver sessions on Zoom or over the phone if needed.
