Talking Therapies remains open, both for our current and newly self-referring clients. We are changing the way we work to telephone only in order to protect our clients and staff. We ask that clients do not come to Guild house. We are taking referrals for talking therapies from Monday 11th May please see below our new telephone triage times.
Our Grief Support service is moving support to a video call and telephone based service. Due to high client demand, we may be fully booked for 1:1 appointments, but will always do our best to help where we can. We aim to respond to your email within 48 working hours but this may be longer due to the current circumstances.
Our Befriending volunteers are no longer making home visits, but are keeping in contact with our clients via phone calls.
Our Small Grants team will, for the time being, be distributing supermarket vouchers only, and assessments will take place over the phone.
Our activities team is making phone calls to clients, and looks at ways to engage people in their own homes.
Our Wellbeing Support team is still taking referrals, but are encouraging people to communicate by phone rather than in person.
We are working with our partners in the London Borough of Merton, the Clinical Commissioning Group, Age UK Merton, and the Merton Voluntary Service Council and others to coordinate our efforts and resources across the borough.
As of Wednesday 18th March, our HomeFood Café is closed until further notice.
All of our clubs, classes, talks and trips have been suspended until further notice.
All of our Counselling Training courses taking place before July 2020 have been cancelled.
Please do not come to Guild House unless you have appointment to do so.
As of Friday 20th March, our Charity Shop in Mitcham is closed until further notice. Please do not leave donations outside, they will not be collected.
We are working with Merton Voluntary Service Council (MVSC), the council and others in the voluntary sector in the borough to mobilise a volunteer taskforce to help isolated households and those at risk from COVID-19. Anyone who puts themselves forward may be asked to support people who are currently unable to leave their home.
