Muscle weakness and poor balance are the two most common avoidable risk factors for falls, and weaker bones are more likely to fracture. Between the ages of 50 and 70 we lose around 30% of our strength. If you’re worried about falling, doing exercises to improve your strength, flexibility - and in particular your balance - will help make you stronger and feel more confident on your feet.

We need your help...

Every year, we provide financial and emotional support to over 2,000 people in our local community. Since Covid-19 that number has increased, and as well as helping our existing clients, we’re now also providing urgent support to hundreds more local people whose lives and livelihoods have been impacted by the pandemic.
